I was so happy to get this at a reasonable price ($160cad) after waiting for it to go on sale. Wirecutter rates its sister unit as the best air purifier for over 10 years so I thought I would give this a try after reading reviews. It works amazingly. I’m shocked at how it kicks in after a pet walks by, if I’ve opened the hallway door, or if I’m cooking. It has made our old condo (with no central air) feel super fresh with clean air - especially in the winter when the windows are closed. Also the size and look are sleek and modern. It’s not out of place in our home.

It seems to fulfill its intended purpose but it can be a little loud. It becomes very loud when I smoke the weed.

Good fit for small rooms

This product was easy to set up for the most part. I did struggle to understand how to install the filters because no visual guides are provided & the instructions are confusing. Coway needs to improve on the instruction manual that comes with this item. I had to Google what order to put the filters in and I’m still concerned that the filters were not placed correctly.Other than that, it seems to be doing its job. I won’t know until I wait a month to see what dust or debris is trapped in the purifier. I really don’t like that the lights on the machine can’t be turned off. It’s really annoying to have these bright LEDs on at night ruining your sleep. I had to put blackout stickers on all lights to save my sleep. Well, at least the quality sensor light can be turned on or off.I do wish the product was “smart” so I could check its performance using an app via Bluetooth or Internet. The only way to know if it’s doing anything is to check your filters and monitor that quality light. I mainly bought this to reduce the amount of dust in my room. Really hoping it works out! I have it on auto mode which seems to be working. At times it will change the speed.I wasn’t sure where to place it. I placed it next to my air vent. I looked for advice regarding this and ended up putting it there. Coway says to put it in the center of a room, but that’s not practical at all. Imagine waking up at night without lights on and accidentally kicking your purifier to the ground because it’s in your way and you didn’t realize!I’m glad I got this purifier for a reasonable price though. I hope in the future Coway will release a purifier that works with an app or program, and one that covers bigger areas but for the same price.

Poor value for money. Bad internal design

The only reason to buy this air purifier is if you value the aesthetics over functionality. The filter design is suboptimal. They put the charcoal filter behind the HEPA. This has the effect of shortening the HEPA filter’s lifespan (because the charcoal filter is not protecting it). The charcoal filter is also a flimsy sheet, not the robust pellets that you find on air filters at this price point.But the color is cute!
